Paid Time Off
Current Paid Leave Bank based on completed years of service from 20 days at 1 year to 35 days per year for employees with 25+ years of service; Extended Leave Bank for serious conditions; 10 paid holidays per year

Medical, Dental and Life Insurance
Cafeteria plan offering group medical, dental, life, vision, AD&D; premiums can be paid on a pre-tax basis; cost is shared between Company and employee

Health Care Reimbursement:
Pre-tax dollars set aside by the employee to pay approved expenses related to health care, e.g., prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, glasses, contacts, doctor co-pays, surgery expense not covered under Insurance, etc.

Dependent Care Reimbursement:
Pre-tax dollars set aside by the employee to pay approved expenses related to dependent care, e.g., child care, etc.

Employee Savings Plan - 401k and ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan)
Long-term savings vehicle for employees; Company matches employee contributions with Energen stock at 50% up to the first 6% the employee contributes; Company also makes ESOP contribution based on the employee’s age, ranging from 3% of pay up to 7% at 65 years and older; vested after 3 months in plan; employee contributions may be invested in numerous investment funds; currently administered by Vanguard

Employee Assistance Program
Confidential counseling for employees and family members to include marital, financial, legal, substance abuse, grief, elder care, and any other issue affecting the employee’s quality of life

Long-term Disability Benefits
If the employee is approved as disabled, the employee receives monthly disability payments based on income at the time of the disability; the disability decision is reviewed and must be recertified annually

Retirement Income
Defined dollar benefit, funded solely by the Company, based on years of service and earnings at retirement; vested after 5 years; early retirement as early as age 55 with at least 10 years of service; lump sum option available

Survivors Income Program
Surviving spouse receives 50% of vested employee’s pension benefit calculated at time of death; spouse begins receiving benefit if employee is at retirement age (55) at the time of death, or at the time the employee would have reached age 55

Tuition Reimbursement Program
Pays 75% for books, tuition and fees for approved courses, related to the Company’s business, completed with a grade of C or better, or a Pass in a Pass/Fail grading system

Fitness Program
Company pays $200 per year toward the fee for an employee to participate at an approved Fitness facility

Service Awards
Employees receive a service award (gift certificate for $10 per completed year of service) at intervals of every 5 years of completed service

Energen Sons & Daughters Scholarship Program
Energen awards scholarships every year to 5 Energen sons or daughters, based on selection by an outside college scholarship vendor

Matching Gift Program
Energen matches 100% for employee and retiree contributions of $25 or more to approved charitable organizations, up to a maximum of $15,000 per year per employee.
