Rusty Cook has been employed by the Company in various capacities since 1980. He was named  Assistant Secretary of Energen and its subsidiaries in 2006.  He has served as Vice President - Legal and Land for Energen Resources since 1998. Prior to joining Energen Resources Corporation, he worked with the company's sister subsidiary, Alabama Gas Corporation. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Birmingham Bar Association, Alabama State Bar, Association of Corporate Counsel, Tarrant-Pinson Valley Rotary Club, Board of Directors - Alabama Sports Festival, Legal Committee - New Mexico Oil and Gas Association, Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation, Independent Petroleum Association of America and Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission - Legal and Regulatory Affairs Committee. Rusty is a graduate of the University of Alabama and Birmingham School of Law.
