Dividend Growth
Energen's Board of Directors has paid shareholders a quarterly cash dividend every year since the Company's inception and has increased the dividend in each of the last 25 years, including 10% and 4.5% increases in 2006 and 2007, respectively. The company expects the dividend to grow approximately 4% annually. Energen offers shareholders a dividend reinvestment plan, and investors may become shareholders without incurring broker fees by making a minimum cash investment of $250 under Energen's direct stock purchase plan.

Direct Stock Purchase Features:
1. Initial cash investment of $250 minimum and $300,000 maximum.
2. Participants may reinvest all or a portion of their cash dividends in Energen Common Stock.
3. Investors may in addition to initial cash investment elect to initiate optional cash payments on a regular basis through automatic monthly deductions from their bank account.

Dividend Reinvestment Features:
1. Shareholders may elect to reinvest cash dividends on all or a portion of their shares of common stock.
2. Through optional cash investments, shareholders may purchase additional shares which will be held by the Plan Administrator, with cash dividends paid on those shares fully reinvested. ($25 per investment minimum and $300,000 per year maximum)
3. Stock certificates registered in the shareholder's name may be deposited with the Plan Administrator for safekeeping.
